GoDrive ("we", "our", or "the app") is a car rental booking application operated by AutoGuardProPH. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
- Booking Information: Details you provide when making rental bookings, including dates, vehicle preferences, and contact information.
- Camera & Photos: With your permission, we access your device camera to capture photos for identity verification and booking documentation.
- Location Data: If permitted, we may collect location data to help connect you with nearby car rental operators.
- Device Information: We collect device identifiers for push notification delivery and app functionality.
How We Use Your Information
- To facilitate car rental bookings between you and operators
- To verify your identity for rental transactions
- To send booking confirmations and notifications
- To improve app functionality and user experience
- To communicate important updates about your bookings
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Data Sharing
We share your booking information with car rental operators you choose to book with. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data when required by law or to protect our rights.
Your Rights
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data
- You can revoke camera and location permissions at any time through your device settings
- You can contact us to access, correct, or delete your personal information
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect information:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Database, Storage, Analytics, Cloud Messaging)
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In
- Expo / EAS (App distribution)
Location Data
We collect approximate device location in the following situations, and only when your device's location permission is granted:
- When you set a delivery or pickup location — used to show nearby vehicles and compute delivery fees.
- Once when you open the app — a single location entry is recorded per session for fraud prevention and account security. The app never asks for location permission just to do this; if permission was not already granted, nothing is recorded.
Location history entries are visible only to platform administrators, are never shared with other users, and are automatically deleted after 90 days.
Legal Agreement Records
When you sign the Terms of Service in the app, we permanently store a record of your acceptance (the name you typed, the terms version, the date and time, and the platform used). These records are retained for as long as required to document the agreement and cannot be edited or deleted, including by you, as they form part of our legal records under Philippine law.
Children's Privacy
GoDrive is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app.
